Peppermint essential oil. Wow. This stuff is highly potent, very concentrated, especially if you’re buying the best stuff, produced by Tao Essential Oils.

At first, you may get a candy cane like sensation to your smoothies. The flavor can be very overpowering at times. The key is to just use a single drop or to mix a drop in with some coconut or almond milk before adding to the smoothie to dilute it a bit before ingesting.

1/2 cup cold almond or coconut milk
1 1/2 tsp cashew butter/spread or 1/4 cup raw unsalted cashews, soaked
1/3 banana
2 dried pitted Medjool dates
1 tsp pure maple syrup (you can easily leave this out if you don’t like it too sweet)
A pinch of sea salt
A couple of ice cubes

Method: process all ingredients in a blender until well incorporated.
